Kristen Harding

Kristen is working as at HM.Clause in Davis, California as the Communications intern. She is entering her senior year at UF majoring in Food and Resource Economics with a specialization in Marketing/Managing and is also striving for a minor in leadership. Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Kristen does not come from an agricultural background but always knew that she wanted to attend the University of Florida. Before becoming the 12th person in her family to be accepted to UF, she wanted to study agriculture because of her need to make a positive impact on the earth.  The Challenge 2050 program opened up Kristen’s eyes to a new view on our world and her part in it.

During the summer of 2015, she interned at the UF IFAS extension office in Orlando. Kristen also volunteered for Dr. Dave Clark, a horticulture biotechnology and genetics researcher and professor, in the summer of 2016. She learns something new from every experience and feels blessed for all the opportunities that she has received.

Kristen enjoys photography and fishing. She has a love for traveling and has visited Denmark, France, Norway, and Germany with her family. Kristen likes to submerge herself in the culture but going where the locals go and eating what they eat along with doing the touristy stuff. Kristen hopes to make her first step towards a sustainable future through her work at HM.Clause.
