Maria Carter, B.S.

Maria Carter is earning her Master’s in Leadership Studies in the department of Agricultural Education and Communication at the University of Florida. She serves as the graduate assistant for the Challenge 2050 Project. She received her B.S. in Journalism from the University of Florida in 2004. In the past 10 years, she has worked in both corporate and non-profit settings as a web designer, developer, project manager, and user-experience designer. In 2014, she was selected as a speaker at the TEDxUF event, which catalyzed her decision to attend graduate school. Her research interests include leadership curriculum development, interpersonal dynamics in professional environments, and the intersections of neuroscience, quantum physics and human potential.
