Shelby Thomas

Thomas-blackwhiteShelby is a Marine Science and Microbiology major at the University of Florida. After receiving her Bachelors Degree, she plans to move on to finish her masters and obtain her PhD in Marine Biology. In the future, she plans to conduct research on marine organisms’ defense chemicals to aid in creating new medicinal cures. She is also interested in helping discover new parts of the ocean that have not been explored. In addition, Shelby would like to research new methods in order to help coral reef restoration. She is adventurous, and enjoys anything active and outdoors. In her spare time, you can find her exploring the ocean, diving whenever she gets a chance and riding her horse through the countryside.
